You play this way until you fulfill the goal card, or you run out of time, or run out of life. Finally, all of the "future" cards are shuffled and placed in the "upcoming" stand. Then you must pay 1 energy to the time track, if you have no energy to supply then you will lose 1 life token. You first can move up to 2 goods from you supply to the goal card and check for win conditions. Once you have played through the "upcoming" deck of cards, you will then perform the Night phase step. When a new card is gained as a reward, that card will go into the "future" pile and the card just used will move into the "past" pile. Once you select the action you will perform, you gather the reward and that card will move to either the "past" or "future" pile depending on the arrows for the action you took. Some allow for you to spend X coin for food or vice versa. Some actions require the use of a tool, if you have it, they will likely make it easy to perform the action and gain a better reward. When you reveal a card you will choose one of the available actions on the card. Your mission is to complete the chapters' goal card with the required goods before you run out of life or 7 rounds have been completed.ĭuring the Day phase, you play through all of the cards in the "upcoming" stand. ![]() The art grabbed me right away and I am always up for learning new games.Įila and Something Shiny is a story-driven game with a Choose Your Own Adventure feeling.
